A clone of Mastermind who was a member of Joseph's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Jason Wyngarde was the original Mastermind doesn't frequent the Marvel world much frequently as we would like him but he has been affiliated with the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Factor Three, rejected applicant to the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club. Mastermind is a mutant with the power of illusion casting. He can psionically cause other people to see, hear, touch, smell, and taste things which to not actually exist. For example, he can seem to make a solid wall appear in an empty space. His two daughters have inherited his telepathic illusionary powers and name.
